  1. [all variants] Re: Apt is recommanding x86_64 packages on i386

    Oh, I missed that. I thought it's x86_64 only because .19 won't boot. .16 boots.
  2. [all variants] Apt is recommanding x86_64 packages on i386

I don't understand why apt is showing me x86_64 kernel packages. It wants to upgrade my kernel to x86_64.

  3. Re: Firefox 3 beta 5 - disappointment, it's a cpu hog!

Firefox on Ubuntu is rubbish compare to its Windows counterpart because it's not built the same way. It's not optimised.

Re: Whee! Firefox 3.0 beta 5 packages for Gutsy

Firefox 3 should be using cairo, not pango. That said, the benchmark tests javascript, not font rendering.

Re: Whee! Firefox 3.0 beta 5 packages for Gutsy

The Windows version is PGO optimised. People will hate the Ubuntu version knowing that the Windows version is so much faster.

The nightlies are PGO optimised. I guess it's up to me, yet again, to build the best firefox package.

I hate doing it because it takes 2 hours. PGO builds are abnormally slow to...

If you want to learn how to build it properly, check http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/firefox-spookyet/firefox-spookyet/

I'll do a build once I learn how to create debs. Pacman is idiot proof....

    Re: Firefox Beta 5!

The Backporters build is crap. It's not build properly. Crappy fonts. Doesn't replace firefox 2.0. I'll probably do a build. I do the best build on Arch Linux.

    Re: Moblock (peerguardian linux alternative)

It's more secure to have the ports separated by protocol.

My problem is that local network my router is in the BOGON list and my NETWORK is in the EMC List.
