and then reinstalled using apt-get and when I launch, I still get bus error

It's taken a lot of work, but I have figured out over the course of many many fresh installs over the past few days that the kernel updates from the update manager in ununtu is breaking my system....

I did a fresh install and found the problem:
it's an update.
All I did to my fresh install before rebooting was run the updates through the update manager and i got the same errors.
