if you have xp pro then you can use remote desktop.... right click my computer go to properties. Then to remote tab then check the box in the allow users to connect remotly to this computer. then...

i use mint as my os on my laptop... i love it... idk that it runs any slower or faster on my laptop. i like the user interface a little better... but thats just me.. tho the lack of a lock screen...
