    I've heard it can work ok on WINE, might want to give it a go on your laptop, or maybe dual-boot your main computer so that you can give it a bit of a try before you install.

    Downloading non-linux steam games?

    Sorry if this has been asked before but is there a way to download steam games that aren't specifically linux games? As in, for example downloading CS:GO to see if I can get it to work in wine?

    I heard Final Fantasy XI and XIV work well under wine, never tried em myself though. If you're looking for something free I guess you could try Runescape.

    There are plenty of good DOS games that are free/abandoned now, like Daggerfall and Mechwarrior, they are easily run in DOSBOX.
