Because you downloaded 64bit version ? Tried to download from Ubuntu home page -> servers-->download. It gives a selection of 64- or 32-bit.... but it does not work. Gives always 64bit.

In Sourceforge there is an update, uck 2.0.10. That allows continuing in spite of the error message. It is a .deb file, easy to install with gdebi.
Ubuntu 9.04 installed on FS Amilo Pro. Samba sharing of the WinXP printer did not work, as in the above messages. I could see and use SharedFolder and other shared (in WinXP) but no printer ...
