And it only shows on posts that were made after the change. No thanking on older posts?
  6. [ubuntu] Gnome Panel Website Launchers Fail on Reboot

Hey all. I'm running Hardy, but this has been going on at least since Feisty. If I drag the favicon from my Firefox address bar to a Gnome panel, I have a launcher that will open that webpage.

    But...

  8. [ubuntu] Re: Unsecured Network Shows as Secured... Sometimes.

I'll assume you have a crazy setup with tons of routers in your place, because I would never encourage illegal activities.

Changing the name won't screw anyone else up, because there are basically...
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Unsecured Network Shows as Secured... Sometimes.

Well, I'm not *that* savvy. My solution might not work for you. i just figured out what worked for me, and that network manager can get two networks confused if they share a name.
  10. [ubuntu] Re: Unsecured Network Shows as Secured... Sometimes.

The problem is, assuming yours is the same as mine, that there are 2 networks named linksys - 1 secured, 1 unsecured. For some reason, NM only sees one of those at a time. I just waited until I could...
  11. [ubuntu] Re: Unsecured Network Shows as Secured... Sometimes.

    Thank you.

    Done and done.

    Please do.
  17. Re: Argument for the Adoption of Linux in American Public Schools

I have never used thin clients or disk-less clients, and I really know nothing of them, but it seems that this would have to be achievable in such an environment.
  18. Argument for the Adoption of Linux in American Public Schools

I wrote this for my final paper in Philosophy last semester. There were some pretty specific qualifiers; this isn't how I would have written the paper if it was purely my own design. Still, I think...
