To be short: ubuntu is working louder than win7, what is imo strange.
When I look into system monitor I can see that cpu is barely used.
One of latest nvidia drivers has some problem with gpu fan...

In order to adjust brightness you should add following line in xorg.conf in device section:

Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"
