Wouldn't you need two groups? One group which can create and delete files, and another group which can only create?
deb http://moblock-deb.sourceforge.net/debian intrepid main
deb-src http://moblock-deb.sourceforge.net/debian intrepid main.....
Those lines are supposed to be pasted into your sources.list file....
Where are you running GParted from? The Ubuntu Live CD?
The locks in GParted means that the partition is mounted, and so you cannot make changes to the partition.
If you are using the Ubuntu...
That new broadcom driver is nice, isn't it? :)
The file /etc/fstab is going to be involved in this process. Can you please post the contents of it?
cat /etc/fstab
I will get back to you on the module load order...
however, I can report that I am getting eth1 instead of wlan0. Not that it really matters, but I will give the udev rule a look later on and...
Edit: Perhaps my altered state last night led to my different results.
Is there any way to keep the b44 module loaded and make use of wl? My wired is a broadcom b44.
Edit2: What's the...
Has anyone gotten this working on Intrepid? Intrepid includes wl, but loading the wl module doesn't bring on the WiFi light.
More information:
The testing version of GParted 0.3.7-2, is able to find my hard drive without any errors.
Does this settle it that it's a kernel issue? Even if the testing version of GParted...
My hard drive isn't detected during the Ubuntu Live CD installation. I tried using GParted 0.3.6-7 to change the partitions, and I receive the following:
ahci 0000:00:1f.2: AHCI 0001.0000 32...
Yes. Already have, multiple times, and will continue to do so. ;)
Well, we should know if it works if it can pick up a network.
sudo iwlist scan
Do you get any results?
Well, my next suggestion was going to be what spiderbatdad said. Check out some of the conkyrc files that people have posted and give them a whirl. Then modify them from there.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but try removing this line in your conkyrc file:
own_window_type override
OR replace it with:
own_window_type desktop
(the desktop is the default value, so if...
All the information you need:
http://www.webilder.org/download.html
The commands for Feisty will work assuming they are allowing webilder in the Hardy repository.
Try the following:
cp /etc/conky/conky.conf ~/.conkyrc
Open the file:
gedit ~/.conkyrc
I suppose that makes sense. :/
Well this is odd. :)
I swear I'm not trying to be rude, seeing as how you have conky up and all, but make sure it's in:
sudo apt-get install conky
It says it's already installed right?
Try:
locate conky
If it doesn't find anything, try running this first, and then the above command:
updatedb
The only thing I can think of is your conkyrc file being screwed up.
Could you post it? (~/.conkyrc)
I can't see the picture. You have to upload it somewhere so people can view it. (imageshack, photobucket, etc)
Anyways, in Ubuntu you can try: Internet/Terminal Server Client. Then choose VNC...
Something like this: http://wiki.awn-project.org/index.php?title=Main_Page
It helps if you actually post the 'issues' or errors you are getting. None of us can see the error you get unless you tell us.
What system don't you understand? Ubuntu? If you don't want Ubuntu...
Care to elaborate?
Make sure you have 'Allow other users to view your desktop' and 'Allow other users to control your desktop' checked.
Then make sure you know the IP of that computer, and try...
