  1. Re: Would LOVE to Automatically track numb. of pages sent to printer since new toner?

"Completed jobs" did it :-) Well that plus a little more than 5 minutes of patient adding up...

Unfortunately you can't subtract ID numbers since those increment up by 1 for each job, not for each...
  2. Re: Would LOVE to Automatically track numb. of pages sent to printer since new toner?

Thank you cariboo, this url does work for me, and I can see the Jobs and Printers and Administration etc just like your screen shots. Now I just need a bit more clarification of the steps involved....
  3. Re: Would LOVE to Automatically track numb. of pages sent to printer since new toner?

Kostkon, definitely, if it does turn out to be sequential and not "arbitrary" as you put it, then definitely would help.

Trying to figure out what this tray is...On my system 12.04.5 LTS, I go to...
  4. Would LOVE to Automatically track numb. of pages sent to printer since new toner?

    Hi,

I originally also wanted to find out how to override my first laserprinter blocking me from printing to see if the "low toner" is in error...but no one posted a reply how to override.

    I did...
  5. [ubuntu] Re: "Low Toner" strangeness for Brothe DCP-7060D laserprinter/copier

Anyone have a clue? Even just answer to part "C", how to override and see if I can force it to print more copies on the existing toner?
  6. [ubuntu] "Low Toner" strangeness for Brothe DCP-7060D laserprinter/copier

    Hi,
Back in November ubuntuforums helped me survive installing my first laserprinter/copiers on linux (actually my first laserprinter period). Even showed me how to put it into "toner saver" mode...
  7. Re: Acrobat for Dynamic PDF: strange save settings mismatch

Somehow "PDF-Xchange-viewer" didn't sound like the name of a windows program, but a google confirms that it is...last time I used wine was 18+ months ago...not sure how on my old 2007 or so PC this...
  8. Re: Firefox "home" button...turning on "are you sure?"

Maybe I wasn't clear...I already removed it entirely...but by dragging method..it's good to know about the right-click alternative method (I assume one can still get it back, just like this dragging...
  9. Re: Acrobat for Dynamic PDF: strange save settings mismatch

    Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share the document...but I woudl be surprised if the File menu changes depending on which document one uses..? So maybe you mean (hopefully you mean) a screenshot...
  10. Re: Firefox "home" button...turning on "are you sure?"

That is perfect vasa - I just "hid away" the Home button by dragging it, which solves things for me. I almost never have to use that button anyway, I just periodically Edit-->Preferences --> Homepage...
  11. Acrobat for Dynamic PDF: strange save settings mismatch

Hi, this is a follow-up to my earlier question, which I think is solved, this one:

Software to edit/use Interactive (or "Dynamic"?) PDF

I think I have a working version of Acrobat now on my...

  13. Firefox "home" button...turning on "are you sure?"

    Hi,
I hope this is the right place on ubuntuforums.org for firefox questions...google "site:ubuntuforums.org firefox" did not turn up a specific forum area in the top links..so here goes.

  14. Re: Software to edit/use Interactive (or "Dynamic"?) PDF

Holger, thanks for clarifying about 1...

About the rest, Link-A was confusingly worded; the fact that "UPDATE" was put *inside* step 1 (as opposed to putting it before all the steps or after all...
  15. Re: Software to edit/use Interactive (or "Dynamic"?) PDF

Thank you Holger, Bab1, hjgreeny (the last by Herman, tgalati, and carl, were not yet posted while I tried the first ways)

This is addressed especially to you Bab1 since your post and hjgreeny's...
  16. Software to edit/use Interactive (or "Dynamic"?) PDF

    Hello,
Until very recently, "Image Viewer" is all I've needed to view PDFs. No Adobe installed on my old machine. It's an older one so probably "WINE" is not the best solution (and not much space to...
