Re: "Window Indicators" - Mark Shuttleworth

What makes you think that Mark alone came up with the design? He clearly states on his blogpost that he's working with the design team for UI improvements. And I think it shows.

Ubuntu Karmic with Docky and Xmonad playing nicely together (and xcompmgr for composition effects).

Theme is the default one which I have to say, I'm impressed with for the first time.

Re: How many of you completely switched to Linux?

I'm sorry, but you are wrong. I have a medium-specked computer (bought it a year ago), which is more than capable of running Vista or Windows 7. I am not an average user, since I do heavy...

Poll: Re: What programming languages do you use ?

I don't think Perl was left out on purpose, I guess the OP didn't know much about it.

    Re: I'm a human ad...

Well, I like your idea. It really puts those ads in perspective, as well as having more profound implications.

Re: GNOME Do 0.8 Alpha Release

Will there be packages for Hardy once 0.8 comes out of beta?
If not, that's going to be THE reason to finally upgrade to intrepid. Docky looks too good not to use it.

    Re: Why "G"NU? "W"INE?

I remember Richard explaining it... something to do with it sounding like "new".

On the other hand, there doesn't have to be a reason. You just pick a letter and keep coding the thing.
