Thanks, it is actually working as designed. I found out that you cannot use ls in the repo and expect to see your files, you must use svn ls <path>. It was confusing to me until I learned that ;)
Hi All,
I have set up subversion and access to it is via WebDAV. The OS is Ubuntu 8.04 server.
I created the repo with svnadmin create at /usr/local/svn/repo and then places my project in...
Sounds promising - I read that HAL is going to be deprecated in Karmic so we'll just have to figure out how to get the special keys working with the new system.
Sounds interesting :) Can you get 24 bit colour with the proprietary drivers? When I tried them before I only seemed to be able to get 16-bit.
Hey, Yes I got the same when I was using 64-bit. I got around it by doing a rmmod of iwlagn and iwlcore when I was shutting down. IIRC disabling the wirless before shutdown using the fn-key method...
You should have a look at using prepared statements as they'll do the hard work for you.

Sounds good!
I meant that the 2D performance was pretty good with openchrome but the issues with the backlight and other acceleration problems has been making me curious about your method so I...
Hi, I haven't had the best of luck with via's drivers on a VX800 grahpics chip. I found openchrome to be much better: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome
I haven't found a solution for the backlight issue but when that happens I usually suspend the laptop and then resume it and the backlight comes back.
I put in an intel 5100 and it was picked up...
I think my colour depth is set to 32-bit already but I will double check, thanks. Are you using the openchrome or via driver?
I do have the vt switching freeze :( I tracked down the shutdown problem to an issue with the intel wireless drivers and 64-bit in general. If I disable wireless and remove the modules before...
I also checked the drive's smart attributes and I could see that the Load_Cycle_Count was going up quickly. So if the values in the conf file are ignored then where are they set?
Yes - as far as I know it is transparent to the OS so it just works.
I enabled laptop-mode and then found that it was spinning down my drive way too much for my liking. When I changed the idle timeout values they appeared to be ignored so I am leaving it alone for...
Cheers, at least I know I'm not the only one :) The not powering off at the end of shutdown on 64-bit is annoying too although I haven't trouble-shooted it yet.
Hi William, I haven't experienced that and I have installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions at this stage.
Perhaps when it starts to churn you could switch to a VT and see if there are any...
I just installed jaunty 64-bit as I wanted to see how that ran after seeing some positive benchmark results on Phoronix. It does appear to be more responsive except that I have encountered more...
Hi Nathan,
I originally had a q210 with windows. I upgraded the card in the q210 from a 2 antenna intel 5100 to a three antenna intel 5300. Then I got the nc20 and sold the q210 so I had that...
I would wager that you are seeing this because you are running 32-bit Ubuntu and some of your memory is being stolen by your graphics card.
That can often happen when you are trying to run ram at lower than specified latencies. The spec for your ram is supposed to be:
DDR2 1066MHz Non-ECC CL5 5-5-5-15 2.2V
You might have better...
Hey, I got it on ebay from this seller: http://shop.ebay.ie/merchant/praesidee

Unfortunately I can't confirm as I swapped out the atheros card for an intel one (wifi link 5100) but you don't appear to be alone with the problem which seems to be across multiple distros. Do any...
Hey dm666. It does seem odd that the front mic boost is in the playback section alright.
I got to the input gain control that I was talking about by selecting realtek alc 272 as the device in the...
Nice, I'll try that too. I'm going to see how it handles VLC if I have the time as well. I'm selling my windows laptop soon so I'll need to get some workable video player on my nc20 soon :)
