Hmm, try searching for all packages name qemu in synaptic, and remove them, then re-run the script, and tell me your results.

Did you let the the compilation script finish before running QEMU?
Hmm, did the script finish running successfully? It looks like the KQEMU support is not compiled. Can you tell me which version of Ubuntu you are using?

I just re-uploaded a new version which includes better kernel detection and added support for AMD64. Hopefully that'll do it.

Hmm, did you enable the extra repositories to Ubuntu?
Follow the instrutions on this site for your version of ubuntu and then try the script again: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources.php
Type this inside a terminal:
sudo su
<enter your password>
echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq
exit
and the error should be gone.
