You're boycotting them because they were sick of being harassed? They owe us nothing as a company, and I'm sure they got sick of being treated like they did.
Because it's supporting poor business practices? This is something I'd expect from Microsoft...
And the headline's not really getting the whole story across, although I'm sure anyone that read...
It's not really because they're mainstream, just that 99% of mainstream players have lock-in or no Vorbis support, etc.
I'll check out your suggestion though.
I'm looking for a decent portable audio player, but don't want one of the many restrictive mainstream ones.
I don't want a whole lot in it, mainly just Vorbis and ReplayGain support. Size should...
Thankfully, they're not very intrusive except for Rayman... there's basically an ad after every 2 minigames in that.
In PoP and Far Cry, I have yet to see a single ad. :)
That's a new one...
This is all I would need. If they would stop pushing everything they have against all standards, I wouldn't mind at all that they had 95% marketshare.

They have 104 workers.
Where did they say that?
They're not a huge company, and they don't have the resources to spend making a new Steam client for an obscure desktop OS, especially when there are less than 5 native...
I would highly doubt it, as there are very few viruses for Linux to begin with (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Linux_computer_viruses ), and none have ever been successful, but I'm sure...
Yep, to me the terminal is an amazing tool, I use Yakuake in Arch Linux, which is a rather terminal-dependent distro, and I can get work done so much faster...
Perhaps you should give OS X a try?
Yep, and let's not forget that the BSD license is a lot less restrictive.
Agreed. Linux is my hobby, my tools, and my work environment. If others are fine with Windows, then good for them, I guess...
You mean like how Linux is mainly used for servers? :P

Kubuntu's app suite and overall UI is much nicer, but it's horribly buggy. I'm currently using KDE on Arch, although perhaps I'll come back in the future.
That's a really good point, actually, and the desire to learn what everything actually meant in Linux was one of the reasons I'm now using Arch. It's more work, but I have more control and I know...
Kubuntu was decently fast for me, but there were times when it just froze during a task, which didn't happen on any other distro for the same tasks and general use. The constant crashes were also...
With a Radeon Mobility 9100 AGP and the "ati" modules, I get under 500, lol.
Pretty much sums it up for me. Even on programs like Yakuake, I'll disable the sliding animation. I'll skin my desktop to make it more visually appealing, but the animations and flash just get in the...
Arch is great, very stable too.
2D, because' they're cleaner, easier to play for a casual gamer like me, and I often find them much more fun.
But they can still have fancy effects, here's a pic of Gusanos' lighting....
