    Have you looked at your logs? Check dmesg for any errors related after power off
    sudo dmesg

    journalctl -b will give latest errors. Go to end of file right after you encounter power-off

    The easiest way to install Ubuntu with Windows, is to boot Windows and shrink its volume, then have Ubuntu live Gparted to create the partitions needed.

    If you type "set" from the grub prompt, look for the grub partition that controls your boot. I suspect its your neon.

    with all the drives plugged in

    edit:try with live cd if you can't get a terminal prompt. Use VT if possible

    [ubuntu] Dock using Wayland slow to populate icons

    Using Wayland, the dock is very slow. It takes 20 seconds for the activated program to appear on the dock. Xor appears instantly.
    Removing anything from the dock takes just as long; 20 seconds.
