I just got an infraction for "inappropriate font/color". WOW. I stayed with the standard font/color that ubuntuforums gives by default.
I could say something right now, but I won't. I don't mind...
I don't mean to dismiss the rest of what you had to say, but that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.
I think we as geeks give the general public too much credit, when in reality, they don't...
By the time names run out, things will have changed to the point of non-recognition. In other words, don't worry about ubuntu's names at that point. Who cares to begin with? It's only a name.
+Times a million. It's THE worst question to ask. There is no definitive answer. Use what works for you.

What's downdake?
Meh. Whether linux takes over means nothing to me. I like it/use it, and that's all that matters to me.
Cream rises to the top naturally, so no worries here.
Except I don't think that was an official desktop wallpaper from canonical. However, It was nice. ;)
I like this idea!
The Desktop Environment has changed, but certain aspects can be carried over. I would just concentrate on using the forums, psychocats, and ubuntuguide.com
Plus, http://www.googlubuntu.com/ is a...
The only reason I was using Unity was because I used to help out a lot on the forums, and felt I needed to know it. I have nothing against it, but I have settled on gnome shell. With a couple...
Geez, I'm sure some app that's "coded" in a couple days will be life changing. What's the point? Why not take your energies and code for something that can use the help?
I've had PM's before, and it has been annoying. If you can't find help through traditional means, then oh well. PM'ing for help is like knocking on someone's door you don't know.
Thank you. I might add that I'd like to say thank you to all that supported me during my application process. There are many good people here, and I wish them all the best. Perhaps I will come back...
I don't know where else to ask, so I'm asking here. I am no longer "into" computers like I used to be. I am no longer into debating computers, their good or bad. This forum has turned into a circus...
Your're still alive and kickin? That's all that matters. I think sometimes we put too much stock into what we save. In the end, it doesn't matter. People act like they live forever, and their "stuff"...
It just depends on what kind of user you are. I myself have no problems using the latest and greatest ubuntu via clean install. Then again I always make sure my hardware is compatible. That should be...
That's funny, I feel the same way about windows. Good luck.
I deleted 35,000 mp3's by mistake using the DD command. ](*,)
As I said before, I am going to take a break for a while and hopefully come back refreshed. Thanks everyone for your kind words.
OK, you actually make sense. I'll give it some thought before I resign. People do change, and who knows, I may regain some computer enthusiasm.
I'm just really torn right now, but I'm willing to...
Yeah, and when you have 9,000 posts, and no life, you scratch your head. At least I did. I'm not putting anyone down that chooses to be here, because I used to all the time too.
It's just my time...
Yeah, I know that. And yes, change can be good.
