Ubuntu
Kubuntu
Xubuntu
Knoppix
Puppy
Damn Small Linux
Linux Mint
There might be a few more, but none leap to mind.
My family had an old Windows 98 Pentium 2, back in the mid 90's. Cost about $5000 for 300MhZ, 32MB of RAM and a 4GB Hard Drive... I still laugh at that. It might've been a useless hunk of junk, but...
I use apt-get just about all the time. I have only used Aptitude twice. Still, if I want to view packages by a list if I don't know for sure on something, then yeah. I'd agree that Aptitude has it's...
To burn an ISO image onto a disk, you need a program capable of burning ISO images. Just dragging the file over and burning it, that won't work. When using Nero on Windows, I use the "Burn Image to...
Firefox 1.3. Even with 2.0 out, I still have 1.3 on my laptop's Windows 2000 installation.
Not a bad little Survery. And at least it gave me something to do for a few minutes.
Well a lot of the time in the IT Community, it takes experience to get a job. And without prior experience, getting a job can be difficult sometimes. So I suppose if an employer looked at a resume...
I dunno if it's the best, but I use an old IBM Thinkpad R30, and it works pretty well, all things considered. I've been able to dual boot Kubuntu Edgy and Ubuntu Dapper off it, and it worked...
I know how to hack, but I don't do anything outside my own network. And I just really dislike skiddies and those people who are like "YOU DO THIS OR I'LL HAX YOU!". Those people are just pains in the...
My desk only has enough room for one, so I use a KVM Switch since that suits my needs better than multiple monitors does.
Well I've done a little PHP coding here and there. I'm most certainly not the best coder out there. And if someone else wants to use parts of my code for something and/or improve on it, then Open...
My server cost me about $50 Australian. It's an old Dell Optiplex GX150. I have SSH and apache up on it, but since I'm on my families network, my mum usually gets jumpy about me lagging the network,...

Presently, Windows XP Professional. I was on Ubuntu Dapper about 5 minutes ago though.
I usually tell my friends about it and about how great it is. However since most of them are computer illiterate, my mobile would be ringing off the hook
Well for the first reason, experience. Lot's of big companys use Linux based systems, so I thought I might as well learn. Second of all, the fact there are few to no viruses. I have a great virus...
Well OpenOffice is free and all, so I couldn't complain. However Microsoft Office has a lot more features. Both things really balance each other out. Hard to make a decision
Whilst I enjoy Ubuntu, I still enjoy Windows XP for quite a few tasks. Quite a few games aren't too easy or impossible to run on Ubuntu.
I used to have a Panasonic, but it died on me for unknown reasons. I never got a chance to test it on Ubuntu. I'll probably get an iPod shuffle. They seem quite good.
I can read either 12 hour or 24 hour. It doesn't really annoy me with either, but I prefer 24 hour format.
No. I shut down my computer at night except for when I'm downloading, virus scanning or other tasks. All it is really is a waste of energy in my opinion.
Ubuntu sounds like a good Operating System for me to learn about Linux from. It's excellent in most aspects of it's operation and I love it
Just submitted mine. Enjoy
I think the reason that Linux isn't entirely mainstream is because of it's complexity and the fact that Microsoft pretty much dominates the market.
