Yeah, I noticed my info indicating that I am still in 11.04. However it is wrong. Regrettably I'm not sure how to change it. I'm downloading 12.04 right now though.
That did it. Still doesn't show up in the upgrade manager, don't know if that is some sort of bug or what. Thanks.
Still, I should be able to upgrade to 12.04 according to the Help Wiki. I've followed the directions and it's still not showing up. Am I missing something?
I cant seem to upgrade to 12.04. I have the checkbox checked to inform me of all ubgrades to Ubuntu and it isn't showing up in the upgrade manager. Is this some sort of bug?
Well I'm pretty sure it's all on the same partition since I used Wubi to install it. Isn't that the whole idea of wubi? to keep you from having to partition your hard drive?
Yeah I unticked...
Thanks guys I think this is /completed.

My mistake.
Really helpful stuff man thanks a lot. :KS
Thanks for the reply but I think the GUI fix is best for a noob like me. Also, I think I run into the same problem with the nano. I run the command

I have read the Grub...
I know of all three of these. Is there any way to change them? For instance to a middle mouse click or something. Moving to the top left is annoying to me and I'd rather it be something else.
right, so is there a way to get gnome shell to allow me to use a mouse gesture to get to the overview screen? I thought I might be able to figure out the command that it was executing and then bind...
As far as I can tell Compiz isn't installed on my machine. Also, before I installed shell it was a clean install of ubuntu, I hadn't installed any extra programs yet.
I'll try to download Compiz...
Thanks for the themes, some of those look really good.
Unfortunately, I went through all of the preferences, and there is nothing in there about mouse gestures. Thanks for the heads up about...
Bump. Anyone?
the left windows key does open up the overview of all of your workspaces and applications, but I would rather it be done by a mouse gesture. I was trying to find the script/command that is run when...
I'm trying out gnome shell on my test machine to see if I will be running it on my main machine in the future. Right now I really like the way it is set up but I have some questions that I can't seem...
Bump. please help, I <3 Ubuntu. I would like to use it on my main machine.
No problem, feel free to message me if you run into any troubles.
I'm also surprised that this can't be done by default. However the workaround listed above works quite nicely and you can bind it to any key or keyboard sequence so it's pretty useful.
Ok, I've got everything working but for others wanting to do the same thing here are instructions from beginning to end. The first thing you will need to do is grab the wmctrl package from the...
