I have taken the board out of a broken 1st gen Atom netbook, think it was a Samsung NC20 or something. The board works great, and as it is quite low power and still able to run from battery, it seems...
Hi. I've been searching for a tutorial for using a USB GSM modem as fallback for my DSL connection on my home server/router, but i can't seem to find anything.
I guess have do make a cron script...
I know blender can work in parallel, but i have never done so myself. I think the guys in the server subforum knows more about this.
I don't think it's possible to reset the USB bus, but try this instead:
Use lsmod to figure out what driver it uses. Now,
sudo chmod +x /etc/rc.local
sudo nano /etc/rc.local
Just before the...
modprobe toshiba_acpi ?
Try out fnfxd and fancontrol.
Also make sure the vents arent clogged up with dust and stuff.
Is my browser messing around with me or did neither of you include /complete/ logfiles?
I was, by the way, also born in denmark.
If you use firefox, theres a plugin called download helper that allows you to download videos from various sites. I sont lnow if it works with the BBC site, but try it out. Play the flv file in totem.
Whats in your /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
You should be able to locate old Matrox cards at fleamarkets and second hand stores. Look for (in order of speed, lowest to fastest) Mystique and Milllenium with 4 or 8 mb, G100, G200 or the G400....
dmesg | grep sd
This should give you info about the drives connected.
It likely a unclean ntfs filesystem. Install ntfsprogs or ntfstools or whatever its calles and run ntfsfix on the right...
Some cards can, but the 7600 isnt one of them. Also, i really dont think its the problem. Go to winehq.org and find starcraft 2 in the app db. The solution to your problem is probably there.
It finds 4 mb memory and says it's not enough to do 1024x786 at 32 bit. Try setting it to 16 bit on your xorg.conf. You won't notice anything on that LCD anyway.
Just general linux experience. The expresscard has two connections, a PCIe and a USB. So it's either a standard OHCI controller chip or a hub. Both are well supported.
Try out ethtool and mii-tool to force specific speed settings. If there really is a bug, it's probably easier to get a PCI card.
dmesg | egrep -i "SATA|sd"
And see if whatever you connected to it shows up. It should.
Output of df -h?
It's not just because of the fact that Ubuntu reserves 5% of the filesystem for root, so the system won't crash if it runs out of space?
There's over 99% chance it will work out of the box.
Which probably moves the problem from the hardware layer to the software layer. Still, the way the problem occurred speaks against it.
dmesg | grep SATA
The drive stayed in your laptop while...
To create a Xorg.conf:
sudo service gdm stop sudo Xorg -configure
sudo mv xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Edit the file and try the vesa driver instead of siliconmotion.
Check the cable. What is in the other end of it?
Install smartmontools, run smartctl -all /dev/sda and report back.
I can't understand the problem either. Exactly whats wrong? It seems like you are getting an IP address and you are both receiving and transmitting data.
sudo dhclient eth0
ping [the IP of your...
Seems like a defective drive. Should still be under warranty.
