Hi,
Not sure I understand what you want to achieve. Why not use a scatter plot instead of a line plot since the x values are slightly different?
What is the issue with Gnumeric?
Quite strange. Check the file type. If you use compressed files, rename to .numeric.gz and gunzip it. You should get a text (xml) file which you cans test with xmllint to see if it is valid.
Also,...
For statistics plots, R is the best, but not the easiest. You might also use gnumeric which has some fine statistics tools and graphs.
Not sure I understand your issue, but gnumeric can transform a variable column to a constant column: Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+Shift+V and choose Paste as values, either in the same column or another one.
Your strings just exist during the playerName() function execution. Their address is not anymore valid when the function returns.
You should use something like:
string *player = new string[2];
I did not find anything really useful in the past. I started developing a spectrum viewer (in GChemUtils, http://gchemutils.nongnu.org), but it is still very basic, because of lack of time. If you...
The format you use to save depends on what you want to do with it. You can export just the chart if you right click on it and choose the appropriate menu item.
I saw you went on IRC, but you stayed...
You might try Gnumeric. It exports charts to the EPS format (and others).
Reading again, I don't think there is a bug there. You can use different error values for each point instead of the same error for all points. The easiest way is to evaluate each error in the sheet...
Please file a bug report at bugzilla.gnome.org (product gnumeric, or, better libgoffice), and if possible, attach a sample file. This should be easy to fix.
I have the same issue with both my laptop and desktop computers. With the laptop, things work when I am very close to the source. The issue is not specific to ubuntu, I tested with debian and fedora...
Gnumeric exports charts: right click and choose export as image in the contextual menu. Default format is SVG, but ps, eps, pdf and various bitmaps formats are available.
Gnumeric handles csv and analogs too. wht made you think the contrary?
Strange Gtk+ version. Check it, there's something wrong with it. The bug is not in gnumeric or goffice code.
Those criticals should not happen. You might get a stack trace using gdb with the following command:
G_DEBUG="fatal_criticals" gdb gnumeric
This will make gnumeric crash on first critical. If...
I have no more idea about what can cause the issue. Would it be possible for you to file a bug report at bugzilla.gnome.org and attache your file? Or just send me privately the file (jean doc brefort...
Maverick has cairo-1.10.0 which had issues. Please test with at least cairo-1.10.2. Things work for me in debian sid (gnumeric git, cairo-1.10.2).
I mean, when the crash occurs, which command was used. There are two ways to generate a pdf file in gnumeric, as mentionned early.
One important question, too, which is the cairo version?
How do you export to pdf? Using the file print command or the file save command?
I never used Matlab, but I suppose that you can export your data as simple text, then any spreadsheet (calc or gnumeric or excel) will be able to import the text and save as an .xls file.
I understand your point. But the cvs issue is not a bug, just a feature. Gnumeric imports and exports cvs, but we do not consider it as a speadsheet format.
ods files are saved correctly since...
If you save as .csv, you'll loose all formating,formulas, and more. It makes sense to consider that saving as .csv is not safe.
About .ods, I don't see that, which gnumeric version are you using?
Use the File/Send to menu entry. Of course, thunderbird must be your default mail agent.
I don't remember what was the problem, may be libgio, but this works after upgrade to more recent version.
