I'm gonna try this, but what I meant was
I had 2 hdds
and I got rid of one, and moved the xp (fresh installation) onto a partition of 1 hdd (which also contains ubuntu)
So I had Ubuntu & Xp running together, and I reformatted / and moved my xp installation so the grub menu no longer works when I try to boot windows.

After reading a bit into this, I'm able to detect audio from my mic, I just can't hear the playback of it when I try and test it.
So I have the PulseAudio Applet installed.

Alright, also figured this out.
I basically played with gparted (not recommended) and I played with flags, and gave my ubuntu partition the boot flag.
I have access to my linux hdd, I removed xp partition, need help reinstalling grub/mbr
I now believe there is a correlation between comp temp (if it reaches above 100*F) then it will boot the hdd ~ resolved, I guess.
1 - It shuts down on livecd also
2 - Recommend any?
3 - Not keyboard problem (How I know for 100%? I don't really but swapping keyboards didn't change it)
