    Small update: I tried installing the drivers directly from the nvidia site instead of letting ubuntu install them (version 275 vs 270) but now every time I restart the computer I have to reinstall...

    The best explanation I can get to my problem is in the title, I get some horizontal strips that I notice specially in videos (I use XBMC, full screen).
