You should be able to find it in Synaptic (I'm not sure if it's still called that name) package manager and uninstall the package.
Edit: Haha, I was too slow
... And again: Sorry, I didn't read...
Thanks.
I didn't think of that this might have changed between versions.
Hi.
Go to System > Administration > Login window - Local tab.
You can download more here.
If you don't have any other operating system, the installer should do this for you.
I'm dual-booting (Windows). I solved my partition problem with buying a new hard drive to use for Ubuntu, so I...
Try this: http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6639054
Note: this is 3.0.1, but you should be able to update to 3.1 - I'm doing that now
Try: Press 'C' or 'E' (don't remember, you should see it) in GRUB and add 'splash' instead of 'quiet' (if it is) in the end of the line.
If you have Ubuntu installed on another machine (or a LiveCD) you can try the Live USB creator.

I would run the LiveCD of Ubuntu and delete the partitions with Gparted, if the Windows CD does not take care of it.
What software did you use to burn the ISO image?
I used ImgBurn (in Windows).
I hope that will work for you.
Edit: Have you already found a way around the problem? Well, you can try ImgBurn...
Are you talking about the rating? It's based on how many people are using the software.
Edit: Sorry, I misread your question
You have to use the move command (in terminal)
sudo mv /path/to/folder /path/to/destination folder
You can use the desktop version as a server (looks like that's what you are looking for).
Kubuntu and some server applications...
Note: I've not done it myself, but it's possible.
This may be old, but I think I found the solution in my case.
The aMSN music plugin (Now Playing). Every time Rythmbox froze, aMSN did also (right before the whole system locked up.)
Unload =...

I thought you were talking about the Menu bar on the panel (Applications - Places - System).
But I don't know how to fix Nautilus
Right-click the panel - Add to panel - Menu bar.
(If I understand your problem correctly)
Yes, you would have to buy a new processor.
I think you mean htop (correct me if I'm wrong). Htop is much more accurate, system monitor itself takes a lot of process when viewing resources.
My guess is to move the read messages from the inbox to another directory on your Hotmail account before you download the messages.
Hope that solves it - I'm not a Hotmail user, so maybe there's...
Here are the sums for 8.10: http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/ubuntu-iso/CDs/8.10/MD5SUMS (just change 8.10 in the URL to the release you have, if you have to).
What instructions did you follow?
If you haven't, try this: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ubuntu-810-persistent-flash-drive-install-from-live-cd
Note: I haven't tried this myself, but I hope it...
Hi.
I would boot up the LiveCD and copy the files to another hard drive. And do a clean install.
Note: I'm not an advanced user, so you might want to wait for another reply.
The same problem here, or atleast if the whole system does not freeze the audio players do (Rythmbox, Movie Player)
Sounds like a common problem.
