You can copy the pst files from windows to your ubuntu file system. you dont need windows or running outlook express to have working pst files. still evolution is unable to import.

could someone explain why i cant use vga=794 (it equals no output on my ttys) on all the kernels from the mainline ppa ? they use the same config as the stock ubuntu kernels right? so why is that?

theres not much you need to know about dkms. if you install new kernel it compiles your drivers for it.. finito, thats all there is to it.

et:qw is an OSS game, but i would need to run it with alsa/pulseaudio, so i start it with: "aoss ./etqw"

it registers correctly in pavucontrol, and i see sound...

last week i still had a custom build 2.6.28 plus nvidia driver installed, no problem at all.

-> build kernel

-> install it

-> boot into the new kernel & console

-> install nvidia driver...

jesus i dont care about ubuntu kernel, mine is more up to date then jauntys so go figure.

and mine doesnt have to select some code paths at boot cause my kernel actually knows what it is.
