    I don't use it as my main laptop (by far not), I got in 2nd hand anyway, my proof adds to my theory that no one should ever by a Dell or Fujisu Simens computers.

    The CD is fine. Tried the i915.modeset=1 and done a lot of CLI inits.

    It's a puzzling one, might just stick with Acers, if there is no fix.

    The disc is fine I have installed using the CD on an Acer Laptop without any trouble what so ever. However now I need to install it on a Dell...

    SOLVED! Used a bit of tissue on the lens and now it writes perfectly, thanks for the help anyway guys you've been great! :razz:

    Can't even burn a 32.1MB iso to a DVD+r.

    Guess I'll have the drive looked at and try DVD-r?

    Basically:

    I have a 4.7GB DVD+R disc.

    The ISO is 2.3GB.

    Some ISO standard is 2GB.

    I've ticked options to do with UDF but still get write errors or not enough space, etc on Brasero, K3B...
