Many thanks as usual seems to work just fine here. :p
I have not tried the new version as I'm just happy to know it's working as I needed, again thank you. I did however condense the command to one line as you suggested, much neater.
Unfortunately...
Hi blackshard thanks for your work.
If you look above the only issue I'm having is I'm not sure if it's actually doing what it's supposed to do.
I have a AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72...
That is odd as the TurionPowerControl seems to think my processor is the Turion Ultra, which runs at 2.2ghz. However cpufreq-info says its running at 2.10Ghz.
I have not overclocked my processor....
I was just wondering if I was setting it up correctly that was question. :)
I don't know why it worked when it shouldn't have, does it look like it is working to you?
I forgot to modprobe msr and moprobe cpuid. That's why things didn't work the second time around. It seems to be working now.
I've added both of those commands to the script and it seems to fine....
Lol I'm so confused! What's strange is when I run the script now it fails.
TurionPowerControl -l & infobash output
root@v3lm4:/home/exmage# TurionPowerControl -l

I copied your config and made it an executable scipt, I'm curious if what I've done is helping I get the following when running the script.
root@v3lm4:/home/exmage/Downloads# ./turionuv ...
I'd like to both teach them about Linux, and of course use it as tool.
I'm asking all you wonderful penguins for links to resources for introducing Linux to high school and post high school youth at an alternative school program.

I have this same issue though I have not tried switching from metacity to openbox. only from compiz or when logging in via GDM.
I am running 9.10 beta on Crunchbang.
xset dpms force off
works awesome on my acer. does what the fn combo used to do without causing issues.
I'm having the same issue on an Acer Aspire 6530, when I turn off the monitor using the Fn-F6 keys and then turn it back on, the keyboard and touchpad is disabled. Only a reboot seems to bring them...
This was all *I* had to do to get this working. Your mileage may vary. :)
I updated this script to show Crunchbang's (and Ubuntu's with a change in the script) theme info including the Openbox theme, GTK and icon theme names. It will then take a screenshot for you after 5...
Changing the connection timeout fixed the issue for me. Thanks!
I'm unable to get updates as well. if I run conky from a terminal it hangs then posts an error stating the location is not in the cache. this location code as well as my zip code here in the U.S....

Change wlan0 to the name of your wireless connection if it's not the same.
Add to your conky config. See the screen shot below.

:KS Thank You! I don't know how I didn't see that button before, wow.
For some reason, "probably something I did, duh" the Home icon on my desktop no longer switches when I change the icon theme via the Apperance settings. How do I restore this?
Many, Many thanks! You just made my brand new Acer Aspire 6530 that much cooler.
