    Re: Upgrading my Processor

On some motherboards there are jumpers to remove or install across pins. See your owners manual for setup.

Just some info that can be easily over looked.

    Re: More mouse issues (laptop)

    Hi,

If you are still using 15.10 you have another problem.

15.10 reached (EOL) end of life months a go.

You need to update or install a (LTS) long-term support version.

  21. [SOLVED] Re: Can a hacker access files on my Ubuntu partition if my Windows partition gets hac

They wouldn't need a password to go from one OS to another if they gain total access into your Windows OS or visa versa.

You want to be 100% safe, then stay off the Internet.

Re: I used to use windows 10

Windows 10 isn't my cup of tea but many others love it and had no problems with malware or viruses.

The OS is only as safe as the operator/person/jerk behind the keyboard.
  23. [SOLVED] Re: Can a hacker access files on my Ubuntu partition if my Windows partition gets hac

    I wouldn't think so.

Now if you were booted into Windows and a hacker had a back door into Windows, then he could access files anywhere on the drive(s).

I'm sure we will see many post here...
