+1, First linux OS i installed, and sulphur was pretty good.
Big fan of 90s alternative, pearl jam, live, creed, etc. etc. I agree with mehall, nirvana was seriously over rated.

I use windows when i wanna play flash games for an extended period of time... for some reason in ubuntu it runs sluggish if i'm doing anything real action oriented. other than that i use straight...

no, drivers are contained in the kernel. the kernel is loaded into ram. and yes, if you pop a livecd in it should boot into it (might have to change bios settings though) like he said, wireless might...
i agree with kanikilu, try out the live cds, if everything runs run with them, go ahead and install. i would suggest ubuntu and fedora for first timers.
