I suppose that happened while installing Ubuntu 12.04. (Now I am using 12.10) It correctly detected the UEFI and created a partition for booting in uefi mode. But it didn't worked.

I think the problem happens because boot-repair considers the laptop in Legacy mode, although the bios setup says it is in EFI mode!
