I've reported the bug, it's https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xinput/+bug/887082. I presume there is some system to record that the bug affects...
Sounds like a defect then and it should be raised. I'm not familiar with the process but will look into how to raise a defect tonight (in about 10 hours time). If there isn't one already I'll raise...
Got the same problem here. I wouldn't say it's erratic movement, it's the fact that pressing left mouse click appears to move the mouse to the top right, sometimes if you try double clicking it...
G'day all,
I have 11.04 running very nicely on my 5,1 MacBook, including the iSight. I've tested it via cheese and via web based flash stuff and it seems to work all okay.
I've found however...
I've got the same problem. I've downloaded the latest but it still gives the error that I must install version 1.8 or later.
I got my version from...
no worries, thanks for the suggestions.
Cheers,
James.
I understand what your saying but I would have thought that there are advantages to choosing one framework over another and choosing one language over another, purely from the produced binary point...
I would suggest Wikipedia, search for what your looking for. Another possibility is googling "Beginners guide to computers" I'm sure you will find what your looking for.
Man that's confusing but makes sense now you have explained it. I'll have to do a tad more research to get my mind about the architecture of both. Shame the Ubuntu development site doesn't make this...
Just been playing around in the developer site mentioned above. Decided to skip the Quickly stuff as I like to know what's going on and why so playing with Anjuta. Annoying how it wants projects to...
Hey mate,
Yeah, that's how I started. I was interested in gdesklets back in 10.10 (which have proven frustrating) and then started looking at conky (which is python and can be LUA). But after...
G'day peoples,
I've got a background with quite a few languages, C and C++ included. As I'm getting more into Ubuntu I've been curious as to what is involved with programming GUI applications...
man, reading that bugzilla log has lost me half an hour of my life I won't be getting back.
It's interesting their POV as to why not to add it, but it's also interesting the counter arguments. Not...
Oh I should have said in my post (but forgot) that a transparent proxy is exactly that, it's not obvious that your using it. I suspect that is what the drop kick is using. Though it may be more.
I've been switching to chrome more and more lately purely because I find it more responsive. Based on articles I've read Chrome is still faster than FF, even though v4 has made a lot of improvements...
G'day mate,
Not a nice situation your in, that's for sure.
I have students stay with me and as such I run IPCop. As a part of IPCop I use the adv proxy plugin and run it as transparent. This...
Well it worked fine last night, going to see if I can make it stop working tonight.
Okay. Looked at my logs and found the following entries in the syslog:
May 24 23:11:19 james-Ubuntu gnome-session[1589]: EggSMClient-WARNING: Desktop file...
Yup, as I said, from the auth.log. But I wanted to know what the two last lines are which appear to be errors, and if the errors could be the cause of the delayed log in time.
The first one...
Okkkaaayyyy...
No response from anyone but I've figured out that the following is posted in the auth.log at from the time I log in. Not sure if any of the errors would cause the problem i'm...
But it is my understanding that they will be continuing with Unity. So I would like to get it sorted however not by reverting to Gnome.
Well you are correct, that may fix the problem. However I wish to continue to use Unity, switching DE's to me doesn't seem an appropriate solution for such a minor problemo. :O
Ahh, I'll have to look into it. Still, would like to get skype behaving correctly under Unity. :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but after looking at the web site I would say that you cannot call land lines. To me this is something that is very attractive with Skype. So for now I would rather get skype...
Hmm. I noticed last night that my skype icon wasn't coming up anymore and I had an error in one of my logs, but I didn't have a chance to investigate. I could have sworn it was working. So looks like...
