Greetings again, I've since jumped ship for Arch linux, but I figure I can still provide infos that may be of used. I seem to have touchegg working very well under arch linux with OpenBox/LXDE,...
Yep, that functions well right out of box :DYes, I had multitouch functioning with touchegg, actually. But since I switched window managers to compiz its not, I may have to fall back to metacity......
Any news on this for raring? I just got ahold of one, its a sweet little device, lol.
Hello. Bout a 2 year ubuntu user, very new minecraft user. I've gotten a method that allows you to use a minecraft model-making program reliably under wine, and wish to create a wrapper package for...
Putting together an all-encompassing matrix theme (yeah, go ahead and boo :P ) for my xubuntu install, even creating a custom x11 cursor theme based on the icons from StarCraft (look pretty nice too,...

Yeah, now I double padlock everything, lol. [[ ]] and "$var" all around :P
Quite frankly I like [[ ]] because it makes == a bit easier to use =_= I can't tell you how many times I've facedesked over "unary operator expected"
ah, you seem to have exactly what I needed. so this goes after the for, but before the if? What I mean is I needed to be able to set a few other variables based on arithmatic with the $size variable,...
Yes, I made an error when placing the stat test in place of $size, I originally had the stat test outside of the if statement and read into the $size variable, but that did nothing, so I rearranged...
Heh, working on a bash script to chop up a file based on its filesize. As a test I wrote this bash shortie just to see if I can do the test accurately:

Whole nother note, but I stumbled onto this post by chance, and as an anime-loving, japanese learning ubuntu-user, I should greatly like to make your acquaintance, 寒石さん :D
Also, this Vaphell...
its formatted to ext4 and I have tried mounted and unmounted. will reformat the partition as fat32 like a usb stick and try that.
Yesh, this machine boots with grub2, but this particular iso does not boot in that fashion. I could likely remaster it but during init it tries to attach-to/mount/I-forget and I don't know how to...
As the post says, is it possible? Basically I have a 2gb partition on my machine I want to basically make into a startup disc. There is an install to hard disc option on unetbootin but it only shows...
I have slapped together a PlayOnLinux install script, and need testers. Anyone interested can either post here or pm me, system specs would be appreciated. Also the playonlinux.log file in the root...

HP Pavilion dv5
AMD Turion II P520...
The -e is not needed, it is assumed with one expression, and don't forget to close the '. twould be easy to test, just make a bs file with said word and feed it through sed.
Did not crash, just not play. Well you can always just use .ogg music to do the trick, right? Yeah, I tried timidity also, no go.
Ack! It never fails, after I figure out how to do something the hard way all the tutorials come out of the woodwork :/
I have been looking into that, I had not encountered an issue with bgm...
I had to do some custom setup to get MS Office to work under wine, these custom settings may or may not be needed for RMXP to work under wine as well, if you have a problem following these steps...
Of course you have an opinion, and a right to it, but said right does not allow you to infringe on the rights of others.
Its only dead if we let it die; its not some closed source software that when the bigwigs decide to can it only exists on old user's pcs. Unity is atrocious, and there are enough people who agree...
Well the scripts are pretty simple themselves, I just want a "master script" that runs all 10 simultaneously.
For examples sake, each script is more or less the same, just the for loop has...
