    i don't know why, but since it's recent switch to qt, vlc has gotten way more useable. i really like it now.

    fsirc ("f***ing simple irc client) is exactly what it says it is.

    qtconfig is great...

    qcomicbook (i think that's the name. it's been a while) is a similar app in qt. both can be used as image viewers, as well.

    you can still use it. but, i guess it might be unuseable eventually.

    pysol (or, pysolfc) - supposedly has over 1000 solitaire games. i like it for the variety of card styles.

    anyone ever used tcdr before? i found it by accident when i was looking for a terminal app to rip cds. it's apparently a console frontend for a whole pile of apps like cdparanoia, cdrdao, ogg123,...
