yes you are correct - I have read that article - unfortunately that is not my problem - as I am already on 32bit - specifically to have avoided the 64bit issue

Upgraded from 10.04 to 12.04 recently; but I was reluctant because 10.04 was working so well.
I had installed 12.04 at home for the wife and kids - and they enjoy the Unity interface - 12.04...
why would there be something that windows can do that linux(ubuntu) can not?
if its a hardware file lock - then move the switch

I have replaced my r8169 with the new r8168
and did a apt-get update; apt-get -y dist-upgrade
I still can not transfer large files without the network dying

SATA drives were working
trying to find example of someone using SSD harddrive - 10.0.4 works great on SSD's
