[ubuntu] Re: Updated Xen distro... now VPS wont boot

Turns out the problem is that Xen guests use the kernel of the host, which in my case is 2.6.18, and 9.10+ requires kernel 2.6.31 or later.

[SOLVED] Re: C++ Compiler for Ubuntu?

Simple console applications will work on both. If you take a piece of code like :

LDFLAGS += -m32Going over it again just caused me to notice. So simple!
  20. Re: Compiling for 32-bit on 64 - "cannot find -lgcc"

I'm trying to compile the C++ Sockets Library. Doing 'make' on the unmodified source - it compiles, no problem (but as 64-bit).

So I added to the Makefile :

    CFLAGS += -m32
