Re: I have an app how do i promote it

Best bet is to approach some of the bigger Linux-orientated blogs out there and see if they'd be interested in reviewing it.

Can't say i'd want to be greeted by either of those when booting my computer, but someone has to do this for the lulz factor at least.

    Re: Dell Duo Setup Guide

This. I reviewed Opera Mobile on OMG! a while back (and on a Dell Duo, too) and it works so well. It would work even better if damn multi-touch was working.

    I have a 32bit .deb of Opera Mobile 11...

    Re: Dell Duo Setup Guide

Which drivers were these out of interest? I tried the ones @ http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTouchDriver/linuxDriver.htm but they didn't do anything for multi-touch (at least for me).

    Re: Dell Duo Setup Guide

Having just got a Dell Duo I was quite miffed to find that touch - let alone multi-touch - doesn't work out of the box.

Steps at the beginning do work in 11.04, however every now and again the...

    Re: Ubuntu Light

    Good find ;)

I really would've thought a press release (at least) would've slipped out of Canonical HQ given, as Computerworld say, it's already shipping on selected laptops.

    Re: Window titlebar x panel

Oh yeah that's a point - window picker should still be in the Ubuntu repos because of the 2D netbook version provided. Just search for 'window-picker' in Synaptic then add it to your gnome panel

    Re: I-doser

There is a great binaural beat generator in the repo's - just saying.

I've used some i-doser "doses" for a while - mainly the coffee shot & the sleep ones and whether they facilitate a placebo...

Re: Openoffice.Org sure needs a new look!

I'll happily concede that the Ribbon was the result of a lot of research and UI studies and it is pretty darn intuitive to use from the few times i've had to poke the embers of MSOffice and recently...

Re: Openoffice.Org sure needs a new look!

    ;)

Y'know, I think the OP is right. Although OpenOffice is a fantastic open-source application it ain't half starting to stagnate in a pool of "this'll do".

Looking at the Ubuntu 10.04 desktop...
