Nope, I'm running 9.04. If I really need to though, I'll download 9.10.
@oldfred: Already tried that, didn't work, but thanks.

So I just re-installed Windows XP, and lost the GRUB menu that usually loads on boot. I've tried a few different tutorials on getting it back after a Windows installation, and nothing will work.
Any...
Firstly, I really wasn't sure where this should be posted, so I apologise if it's in the wrong forum.
Okay, so I dual-boot Ubuntu and Windows XP. Ubuntu for everything but gaming, and XP for...
Awesome, it's working now. Thanks a lot for the help.
Bump.
After a smooth installation of Garry's Mod, I tried to have a quick play around before installing some mods.
However, whenever I try to bring up the spawn/options menu the mouse lingers for a...
Tried, doesn't work.
I'm using an nVidia 8500GT. Two displays, both at resolution 1680x1050.
Thanks for the recommendation. However, I tried CrossOver and nothing displays. I launch Steam and nothing happens, but I can see Steam running in my taskbar.
Nevermind, figured out what was going...
*Bump*
Still can't get anything to work.
I already have the latest version of Wine installed, and the latest nVidia drivers. Still not working.
Hello there,

Damn, can't believe I missed that. It's encoding now, I'll make a new post when I've tested the result in Rythmnbox.
EDIT: And now it works fine in Rythmnbox too. Thanks a lot for the help,...
Tried this command;
ffmpeg -i s01e01 -ac 2 -vn -f wav - | lame -V2 - s01e01.mp3
And was given this error:
s01e01: no such file or directory
Warning: unsupported audio format
It works fine with every other audio file, it just doesn't work with the audiodump file that we made.
Adding quotation marks around the dir. sorted the problem, thanks a lot.
However I'm still having the problem with the timeline bar being greyed out in Rythmnbox, any ideas?
As a test, I'm trying to extract a (legally backed up) episode of Peep Show to audio.
Dir: /media/HD-CEU2/Stuff/Movies/TV/Peep Show/Season 1
And it gets cut off to this: bash: cd:...
When I try the command linked to in the first post, it works fine. When I try the command listed above, I get this;
Unsupported number of channels: 6
Also, my cd issue is not solved, and I have...
Okay, I'll try converting the file then.
As for 'piping' it, I have no idea sorry. Any ideas about my cd issue also?
EDIT: For some reason SoundConverter won't convert any files. Click convert...
Thanks, gave that a shot and it worked extremely quickly.
However, I have a couple of problems.
Firstly, the resulting file for my test was just under 1hr 26mins long. When added to Rythmnbox, the...
I was wondering if anybody knew an application that I could use to extract the audio files from video files (.avi) and use as preferably .mp3 audio tracks?
I tried running it in Virtual Desktop, and received the same error.
And now trying to run GTA2, I receive this error: Videomode 16x16x16 is not available.
Just downloaded this game (legally) from the Rockstar website. Installation went fine, but upon trying to run the game through Wine, I encountered the following error;
