    LaTeX equations in Inkscape

    You can used the inscape plugin Textex to put Latex formulas in your inkscape drawings. The nice thing is that you can re-edit the formulas.

    looks like you are missing fonts - if you are using texlive try

    sudo apt-get install texlive-fonts-extra texlive-fonts-recommended
    and then reconfigure lyx
