[ubuntu] Re: Another slow wireless connection (realtek)

I may have found a temporary solution. I set my router wireless G only mode (no b or n), amd security to WPA2 AES. This seems to give me a stable connection for at least 1 day.

[all variants] Re: ThinkPad X120e/AMD fusion?

IMHO, the best combo for this laptop is 10.10 with fglrx. It was the most stable build by far. 10.4 was rock solid too but you had to compile your own wireless drivers.

The only issue I had in 10.10 was xbmc crashing on exit. I was also unable to run certain adobe air applications. Other than that it was fine.

My understanding is GPU acceleration for flash doesn't work in Linux, only windows.

I can get GPU acceleration to work in VLC using VA-API though.
