there seems to be issues with flash and ubuntu (I had problems anyway) and its difficult to find help even in the generally excellent ubuntu community

ok tried the cd space and Documents (which worked thanks) but it turns out sp-sc-auth is not a directory as specified in the original webpages instructions so still confused I'm afraid

ok then I tried opening cd and draging the folder into the terminal
which looked like it worked but..

hi Alzie, I used that link to install it the first time around
anyway I sorted the parsing proxy problem by system --> preferences --> network proxy
now terminal is telling me flash is already...

I tried to install through the terminal and get this error message

Error parsing proxy URL http://:8080/: Invalid host...

I went to youtube and where before it was fine now there are no images and when I am asked to download flash player when I go to the link and click on it no dialogue box appears - nothing happens...

I installed tor with sudo apt-get install tor
I installed the tor button add on in firefox
I went to torcheck with tor off to note my IP address
When I enabled tor I could not access any sites and...

I recently moved to Japan from England and find much of the TV inferior to English TV especially the BBC
I would like to use a proxy so that BBC i player thinks I am in the UK and I can watch BBC...

(everything else works)
