    Thanks for clarifying this. I'd rather go with an upgrade to 19.04 and see, since I have to backup anyway.

    Ubuntu Studio Sound Settings

    I'm trying to pair my laptop with my TV screen, thing is I cannot switch the audio output through the HDMI cable I connected.

    DosBox cycles up/down

    I installed DosBox form terminal on Ubuntu Studio.

    It runs but I can't modify cycles nor frame skipping with the ctrl+Fn command.

    Fortunately the system was empty so I preferred to follow the quick way and format and reinstall again. I see if installing printer drivers reissue the same, and in case get back....

    Solved Apparently.

    I went on the BIOS secure boot settings and selected the grubx64.efi file for the secure but under UEFI.

    Now Ubuntu Studio is running again.

    on reboot I get this from BIOS:

    Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed.
    Insert Recovery Media and Hit any key
    Then select Boot Manager to choose a new Boot Device or to...

    sda2 I don't know.

    sda3 should be home and root partition.

    /dev/sdb is an SSD, an external USB drive mounted with Ubuntu Studio, supposedly.

    Yes, Ubuntu Studio is the only OS on hard drive. No partitions.

    I put Boot-Repair-Disk on USB with balenaEtcher.
    Once loading does not recognize the stick at all and I got the "No bootable device" screen.

    Any other way to start a fresh installation of the OS?

    I got UEFI and secure boot enabled....
