  3. [ubuntu] Re: Firefox download window uses the wrong pdf application

Well, in Fedora it's even worse! When I click XLS (spreadsheet) file instead to open OpenOffice it opens wine-preloader?!

And to add programs. This is alternate way of doing it.
  8. [ubuntu] Re: Nautilus 2.24.0 install error--libaries needed(?)

No, no, no...that is not the right way of doing it. Also, Nautilus is already installed in Ubuntu. It shows up when you click a link in "Places" menu.

If you want to install a program in Ubuntu...
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Nautilus 2.24.0 install error--libaries needed(?)

Tell us why are you installing Nautilus? You installed Ubuntu, right?

Re: Getting a Windows 7-like taskbar in Ubuntu

And the program buttons stand up like they are not part of the taskbar either.
  13. [ubuntu] Re: What would cause video conversion to go REALLY slow on ubuntu-server?

Yes, P4 is just slow. I have P4 3GHz/1GB RAM and 9 FPS is just a normal performance. Core2Duos are much faster the Pentium 4.

[ubuntu] Re: Holding down shift with spacebar

I noticed when I hold to shift keys I can't type. Maybe the other shift key got stuck on your keyboard and you can't type?

[ubuntu] Re: 8.10 - no burnproof in brasero?

Yes, I also find Brasero very buggy on Intrepid. Checksum scan never happens, I can't drag & drop files from left panel to the right, can't save project...it's almost unusable!

Wow psyke83, you resolved one more issue regarding audio for me. Finally, I can put my speaker tweeters up to the test. :)
  23. Re: What is the lamest reason for giving up on Ubuntu/Linux you've ever heard?

I have to agree with that. DarkRoom Human is actually very useful. I didn't even changed the wallpaper, only the colour of input boxes from white to light brown.
