    This has been solved.

Linux obviously doesn't exactly play by the regular rules of the TCP stack like Windows machines do.

A ping to x.x.249.75 worked all the time; no problems. Why? It was a...

Additional info if it is helpful.

  6. [SOLVED] Re: ARP Requests Being Sent For Different Subnet

  7. [SOLVED] ARP Requests Being Sent For Different Subnet

Have an Ubuntu 14.04 DNS server running bind. Let's say it is on subnet 216.107.250.x and subnet mask is 255.255.255.128. Gateway is set to 216.107.250.1.

    Getting complaints that there are...

  12. Re: Upgraded to 14.04 from 12.04 - Still Says 12.04 Upon Login

Bumping up one time to see if anyone has advice on this. It doesn't seem like it is affecting anything or causing negative side effects - just the fact that the login still says an update is...
  13. Upgraded to 14.04 from 12.04 - Still Says 12.04 Upon Login

Upgraded eight servers from 12.04 to 14.04.

All of them went well, except for one. When logging in, it still shows that 12.04.3 LTS is installed - using kernel 3.13.0-48-generic. There is also...

  23. Re: Updated From 10.04 to 12.04 - Extreme Load / Unresponsive Server

I posted the question over at serverfault and a guy replied pretty quickly. He believed the problem to be an I/O error since the server could still respond to network pings and was responding to DNS...

Over the past two days, the server seems to be going into high load mode starting at around 12:30 AM in the morning - and it steps up by a load of 10 every five minutes. The graph then seems to stop...
