36, south florida, i use DraftSight as a backup to a professional survey rig. today the as-built drawings crashed in Acad2010, no worry... just flipped the boot, edited flawlessly, and printed it...

would be really nice. i am required to use the same software that the engineers use (by contract). there is nothing preventing me from editing in another application, just as long as i exported it...

because the app that i use was stopped in windows (dos) and is now continued in linux.
all apps will eventually stop in windows and pick up in linux so why not?
