Member since 2006 and don't know how to properly submit a bug or use the proper channels ? that's on you guy. Itemize, succinctly report.
  2. Poll: Re: The now-infamous OMG Ubuntu article discussion

I think it's really cool that the internet has given people the world over the power to be offended by persons they otherwise would never have had the opportunity to be offended by. Technology is...

[ubuntu] Re: Guayadeque Music Player Test request

Hi Anonbeat, has the methood of smart mode track selection changed in newer revisions ? It seems that it's now rotating most played songs rather than the wider selection that I was getting in earlier...
  6. Re: Building HTPC.. Should I build Server for movies too?

I had thought of building one and using Opensolaris as a base. OSol has the moovidia media manager and ZFS. Basically, I'd make the server and HTPC in one using moovidia as the front end and with zfs...

Would have been nice if you had the marbles to post under your actual account. Posts like these are ultimately useless, they are not losing focus they are simply not focusing where you'd like them...

Re: SOME printers now linux friendly

The fact remains that "All Lexmark printers are not now supported" "All *new* Lexmark printers are" but all the models are not. As your title mistakenly states. I read fine, the problem here is with...

5 minutes to achieve in Ubuntu = Easy and too mainstream ie noobish
1 day to setup in "other distro" and easily breakable = very I337 and 'faster'(milliseconds do count you know )

Re: SOME printers now linux friendly

No need to get overexcited. The 2009-2010 series seem fully supported. Please read more carefully. Older models such as my X5410 and 64bit are *not* yet supported. Fix your title.
  13. Re: Anyone else feel Ubuntu has jumped the shark?

A couple of apps that allow you to access whatever chat/tweet/social accounts you have, directly from the desktop. Their powers combined do too much to take away from Ubuntu's non-mainstream and geek...

  15. Re: Anyone else feel Ubuntu has jumped the shark?

But judging from the popularity of Facebook and just about every other social site and messaging network, Social people seem to outnumber unsociable ones. Thusly, they are catered to. As soon as they...

  17. Re: Anyone else feel Ubuntu has jumped the shark?

I disagree, people chat and interact every day. They need that stuff from the get go. What are these "stability issues" i keep hearing about ? because I have next to none, and I'm on the beta.

    We...
  18. Re: Anyone else feel Ubuntu has jumped the shark?
