    I installed the package, and repeated some commands, same result.


    rfkill list
    0: phy0: Wireless LAN
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: yes

    sudo rfkill unblock all

    linux-backports-modules-karmic-generic it's not installed.

    I installed xubuntu 3 days ago, then I downloaded all the updates, but the wireless never worked.
