Hmmm... If it's not optimus then it could be some other hardware on the laptop that is not being disabled properly on suspend.
Look at "Debugging Suspend" on this page:...
That is the problem, the nvidia card is not being turned "on" at all, even when it should be.
This also means that bumblebee is not working properly, if you ran a program with optirun it would be...
After reading the project page again I saw this:
Are you running anything on the nvidia card when you suspend?
Is bbswitch working?
To get the status of bbswitch:
cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
I had a similar problem on my dell xps 15. My laptop would fail to suspend if the nvidia card was turned off. I solved this by renabling the nvidia card before suspending, and then turning it off...
Never mind, solved it with nomodeset at boot.
Hi,
I am having trouble when trying to enable accelerated graphics in Ubuntu.
Whenever I try to run compiz, or unity (in Ubuntu netbook) the screen freezes and leaves me only with the background...
Beautiful, it works perfectly for libnds, and is better than the original. Just note that it puts devkitpro in the .dev directory. Thanks for updating the script, you saved me a lot of time searching...
The original orange was okay but became really old after a while. The purple is good for now, because it combines orange and purple to still be familiar. However, I was wishing for a blue or green...
your banned for using plastic instead of paper.
I have seen translated error messages for java or some other language on the internet. Someone mentioned earlier that this could cause problems when you try to solve an error - if someone solves the...
The xubuntu version was larger:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/ports/releases/karmic/release/
somehow, so that wont work.
Can your laptop boot from a flash drive? you could try installing...
Well thats an epic fail... I wonder why its labeled as a CD if its too large to be written as one.
Is there a xubuntu powerpc version? xubuntu is smaller, and you could then install gnome latter.
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ports/releases/9.10/release/
has a powerpc version, just look at the link at the top :)
ubuntu-9.10-desktop-powerpc.iso
is on the list
You may have found the dvd version instead of the cd version located here:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/
This version will fit on a cd-r with no problem.
Just select the right...
Here are the steps I went through to make it work:
1. go to Build->Set Includes/Arguments and change it so that there is the -g flag on build and compile, ex.
gcc -g -o "%e" "%f"
2....
Have you set the debugging flag when you compile?
I had similar problems, but I'm running windows right now, i will try and respond with more info when I find what I did to get it to work.
btw...
Haven't looked at the script, but thanks.
I would suggest that before you have any user enter any command that could potentially damage, reformat or otherwise make there computer do something unusual. You print in big bold letters, read...
There is a sticky for something similar to this:

good luck :)
In the state of Michigan, USA its:
Sunny, at 12 F (-11 C), (feels like -5 F, -21 C)
Oddly enough, we only have a few inches of snow.
I agree, completely, to have all the necessary hardware drivers for the multitude of computer OS' out there with different components in different configurations which can be different depending on...
I read that jscalibrator was not included in the latest ubuntu releases. You may want to find an alternative.
Edit:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1300790
yeah, I was doing this also. I believe xpad is already installed in karmic
or something. So all you need to run is jscal then jstest to get the output from the xbox 360 joystick.
make sure to...
I had this problem before (among several others) with bluej.
I would run bluej from my computer and open a project on my flash drive, later when I would run bluej without my flash drive plugged in...
