    I solved it by giving kdm on etc/rc.local file..
    but now my soud system is not working till i log off and login after some time...

    So i hope that the sound device might be the one who was making...

    My Kubuntu 11.04 is booting in 60 seconds but taking about 200 sec to show the login screen..
    What might be the reason..

    if you are booting to a live cd you can easily do it from there..

    It is always recommended to use separate home partition if you want to keep on upgrading your machine
