Try Crunchbang Linux, it should work well on your comp.

Are you oppening Nvidia Settings as root?

If not open a terminal and try:-


gksudo nvidia-settings

You'll need to be patient. Depending on how much data you have in your home directory this can take ages.

I've just bought a Trust Slimline Widescreen Graphics Tablet and am wondering what functionality I can get out of it on Ubuntu.

It works OK with GIMP but does not have pressure...
