    However still behaves the same. Phone reboots on disconnect and guest restarts.

    Tried uninstalling usbmuxd to see if this might get around the problem however both guest and iphone restart when trying to connect.

    I am having trouble logging in to Ubuntu and not sure how to go about fixing it.

    Actually on 18.04 not 18.10.

    Probably time to move back to Windows . .. such basic stuff that should just work at least in version 18.
