I'm running a MBP4,1 - and TBH think its well worth the effort.

All the important stuff will work out-of-the-box. And you can have everything else running in around 1/2 an hour.

What I do is create an Emeralditem in sessions.

Go SYSTEM>PREFERENCES>SESSIONS

Then "ADD" then call it "Emerald" and in the command box put
