Found the bug which caused the MTU-setting.

Just change a letter from t to e, and the problem is solved :D

If you want to stick with sftp that´s fine. If you want to use vsftpd on your Version of Ubuntu, you will have to compile vsftpd on your own because a small bug in the 2.3.5 vsftpd.

SOLVED!!!
Somehow the installation of the new kernel gave the MTU to 576. By changing it back to 1500 with
sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 1500 the router does the job as good as before the update :P
